I just realized something: Without Darren monitoring every music website on earth..how the hell is everybody going to know that the covers album isn't
out? I mean, we took the crazy bastard for granted so long...now that he has other things to do..the rest of us suffer.

Personally I've given up on bothering to keep up with the whats in the know about Zebrahead. I've always relied on mfzb.com and it's members,
including Darren, but really the band themselves have done a shit job of letting us know anything. Hell, I know that all of us would appreciate it even if they
just post a bulletin on myspace letting us know how they're doing, or better yet come to their most loyal fansite and at least chime in like the old days.
And UC, RDJ, or any other one of you can call me out for complaining like you've done in the past, but I'm tired of this alienation of their fans. You say they're busy, you say they're running into legal problems or whatever excuse, but I'll tell you what, they damned sure have the same amount of access to the internet as the rest of us and I'm seeing no viable excuse for all this... especially when they have a supposed album coming out.... what is it, soon? |

He used to do such a good job back in the MFZB album days (personally cant comment on before then). He used to update ATLEAST every two weeks, even if it wasn't much, everyone was in the loop. ZH should giv someone close to em a video camera n a laptop so they can do the same job as Dirt. Then there's no excuses of 'bein too busy' Basically, GET SOMEONE TO DO DiRT'S OLD JOB. is that so hard? the end |

Fuck me youre an asshole!!!!! You call yourself a fan?? I say youre a retard!!! Alienation of their fans???WHAT THE FUCK!!!! Im not even going to bother going over old ground with the reasons for the lack of news.....except to say, they have lives outside the band for gods sake. They have families and businesses to run and also have to make ends meet in this current economic climate as theyre not a Green day or Iron Maiden that can just tour and put cd's out and not do much else. As far as the album goes....Sony Japan want to give it the publicity it deserves and they'll put it out when theyre ready. Thats not down to the guys at all, its down to the men getting paid far too much money to make the decisions!! I'll bet you something....when the album comes out and when they get a record label in the US and tour, you wont fucking throw youre dummy out the pram then and winge like a little girl will you?!! Ask yourelf this....where are all the original posters gone from on here?? Shello,Dev,Scott,Neil and even Ed and Ben?? I'll tell you why they dont post on here that much.....WINGEING,MOANING SELFISH LITTLE GITS LIKE YOU HAVE MADE IT NOT MUCH FUN TO COME ON HERE ANYMORE!! Oh and as far as Dirt goes...he was a great guy, lived and breathed ZH until he had personal problems and then he couldnt give it his all....he is sorely missed I agree.

That's a bit harsh from Jim. SS...I bash on you at times, but here I don't blame you. The band is in a lull, because that's what happens after
albums. (The normal cycle of everything you know.) Shows are coming up at the end of the month, and from what I understand...there are tours all the way into
next spring. I believe they go to Japan next month...which if I was a betting man...would coincide (or be released close) to the Japanese tour. That's 15
new songs (kinda) that you'll be able to talk about and listen to. (And yes..I've heard them and they kick ass)
As for Dirt, it does stink that he had to stop...he was really good at what he did...but that was his decision. I'm not sure why somebody hasn't volunteered to pick up the job in his absense...I"m sure the guys would probably like that (as long as you did a good job). I have no idea where Darren went. I assume he's dead, but I can't confirm. As for the old posters...music fandom is a funny business. It's not like a sports team where you stick with the same team for life. You can always be a "fan" of a band...but tastes are constantly evolving. IN this case...people get older...hell, I find myself listening to the Coffeehouse on Sirius/XM...what the fuck is that? Point is...the absense of a US label, and the natural cycle of touring have ground things to a halt. Things will pick up with the release of the covers album...as well as the tour, which I'm sure will show up on youtube with all sorts of new songs on it. Just a little bit longer...although it'd be cool if somebody filled Darren's shoes and psychotically followed the band to the point of stalking..just so the rest of us can figure out what's going on.

i dont come here very often now and it's not because ppl are whining and bitching, its just because we used to get information here and currently we're not. i cant be a really good fan if i have no idea whats going on with my favourite band. and yes i'd even call that alienation.

Hahahahahahaha, ROFL!!!! You dont want to believe me fine, no probs at all.....when I get the text im waiting for with the dates for tours and release I wont bother posting it then!! Oldschool shit, eh, ive been a fan since 98/99 in the UK.....we got 1 show in 4yrs, try that for size!! Youve missed 1 yr now for a tour. Thats it im done. UC It may seem harsh but im sick of this constant negativity. We all love the band - apparently - and yet when some people dont get what they want when they want they feel the need to be so harsh and down on the guys. If thats what people want to do carry on, im gone!!

Well..Neil told me to come and check out this post..so I came..and I guess some people are frustrated...well that makes a lot of us....
Heres the dealo..sometimes there really is just nothing going on??....or sometimes we have news and are not allowed to say anything until the powers that be say "OK you little pee face"..now you can post the news...(record labels)...hence the Panty Raid info you are looking for...I wanted to post the tracklisting and all the info months ago....but have been told via record labels I am not allowed..it is very frustrating to be told this...and makes me feel even more bummed when I see people bashing each other over it....the second I can post the info...it will be up..no joke..zebrahead is my life and I do care about it more than anyone could even imagine..but there really isn't even a release date yet...we were fighting for a release that is sooner than later...but it looks as it might be late this year....with a big MIGHT..hence no news on it... other things people are fighting over....no USA tour since the cancelled one....well all I can say is we are trying...and it frustrates me just as much as anyone...trust me here....all I do is play in this band so I think about it every minute of every day....our agent is looking for anything he can possible find us....since the ecomony is in the shits..not to many promoters are taking the chances they were before and offering shows at all....so to fight that our agent has been on search to find a good package of bands that would help promtors to feel more at ease in bringing tours to YOUR town...we even have a new agent in the USA to see if new will help...and yes the USA label did go bankrupt...along with 1000's of other ones making things a little tougher...but not impossible...there is always light at the end of the tunnel...the last couple of years have been incredible....with all the messed up things going on in the world...this little band zebrahead keeps trucking along...and I am stoked and proud to say we can make it through anything...sound like a lame fight motto...yes...but i really am proud of what we have done and what still will come! we recorded the covers album and finished it in the hopes of having tons of news and cool things while writing songs for a new album..the time when there usually is no news....seems it still has made no news...even though there really is news....sound confusing...I am confused just writing it... I hope this helps some or any???....look in the mirror...say "Damn I'm good looking"and smile.....that makes me smile...or actually laugh... Ben from zebrahead |
